This website is deliberately simple. It doesn’t use analytics, advertising trackers or contact forms, and it doesn’t sell or share your information. This page explains the little information that is involved when you use it.

Who we are

This website is operated by R Gregory CPA, an accounting practice serving business owners in the Kansas City area. Questions about this policy can be sent to rgregorycpa@gmail.com or by calling (913) 229-5989.

Information we collect

Information you choose to send

If you call or email the practice, or sign up for the newsletter, we receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, email address, phone number and a short message. We use it only to respond to you, to discuss whether we’re a good fit, and, if you asked, to send our newsletter.

Please don’t send tax documents, Social Security numbers, bank details or other sensitive financial information by ordinary email. If we work together, we’ll arrange a secure way to exchange documents.

Links to other sites

The Resources page links to official IRS and state websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we don’t receive anything you do there.

Technical information

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels or social media trackers. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only:

with service providers who help us operate, such as our website host and email provider, to the extent they need it to provide their service;
if required by law, regulation or professional standards; or
with your permission.

The newsletter sign-up asks only for your email address. When you submit it, the address is emailed to us through our email delivery provider, Resend, Inc., and we use it only to send the newsletter. Every issue will include a way to unsubscribe, or you can reply at any time and ask to be removed.

How long we keep information

We keep correspondence only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business records. Information that becomes part of a client engagement is retained as required by professional and legal record-keeping obligations, which are covered in the engagement letter, not this policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal obligation to keep it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, email rgregorycpa@gmail.com.

Children

This website is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission over the internet, including ordinary email, is completely secure, which is why we ask that sensitive financial information not be sent by email.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, for example when adding a newsletter service, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
